This was our winter project two weeks ago. I've been wanting a farmhouse style table and after finding this blog post Howard felt we could make our own.
Most of this is Howard's hard work. He taught me how to use a chop-saw, I sanded and learned how to use a kreg jig and helped with staining it. BUT Howard was the mastermind behind it all.
We were not able to find all the pieces in unfinished pine so our table is made out of fir. We love the "character" that came out in the wood after we stained.
The table has two extensions so we can fit up to 12 people at the table. We are just thrilled with it and the cost was worth the sweat equity!
